Masterclass, Nicole Galea
Masterclasses are delivered by a QB artistic staff member or former company artist with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share whilst leading the you through a traditional ballet class structure. QB Masterclasses are designed to be fun, challenging and inspirational, providing teachers with an insight into a professional ballet company. Integrated into this Masterclass will be education links to explore how the learnings from this session transpond into a classroom context.
Audiences of the now, not the future, Professor Sandra Gattenhof
The historic narrative around engaging children and young people as audiences of live performance (dance, theatre and music) has been about developing interests and capacities to be audiences of the future. This positions children and young people as passive cultural consumers rather than active culture makers. This workshop will investigate the different ways children and young people engage in live performance and how you may be able to help our young audiences of the now become cultural code breakers.
