Workshop Information:
Contemporary Masterclass
Masterclasses are delivered by a QB artistic staff member or company artist with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. This contemporary masterclass will focus on foundational contemporary technnique and provide practical task work to stimulate movement creation and enhance movement vocabulary. QB Masterclasses are designed to be fun, challenging and inspirational, providing teachers with an insight into a professional ballet company.
Dance on Film - choreographic problems and how to fix them when creating a dance on film.
This is a 2-part practical workshop, in the style of contemporary dance, demonstrating how to identify and resolve common choreographic problems that occur when translating choreography from live performance to digital format. Utilising Queensland Ballet flashcards, this workshop demonstrates, through practical application, how to effectively manipulate the dance concepts and skills to produce a dance film. Participants will be provided with a step by step lesson plan as well as other resources to help teach Dance for Film.
