The Nutcracker Repertoire Workshop provides an exciting training opportunity for young dancers aged 10 – 18 years to explore repertoire from the Queensland Ballet Christmas classic. The program enables participants to experience classical ballet class followed by extensive repertoire sessions, learning excerpts from The Nutcracker as versioned by renowned choreographer Ben Stevenson OBE and performed by the Company. Various repertoire items from The Nutcracker will be taught across the three-day program with a Viewing Day taking place on the final day, providing participants a true taste of the professional environment.
Program participants have the option to select in the registration form whether they are interested and happy to be approached about further training opportunities with Queensland Ballet Academy. Please ensure you speak with your main dance teacher prior to registering for the program and we encourage you to be transparent with them if you select these options in the form.
